EMPLOYMENT EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: Respite Workers & Inclusion Workers 

The Council of Yukon First Nations (CYFN) is seeking individuals interested in providing respite services and/or working as an Inclusion Worker.

Respite Worker:

Respite Workers provide children and families with quality care through active engagement and participation in activities of daily living. The position provides primary caregivers temporary respite from their duties. The Respite Worker ensures the personal safety of the children by providing appropriate, nurturing personal care and provides encouragement to support positive behavior. The Respite worker functions in partnership with the child, the child’s family, support professionals and caregivers to ensure that family, emotional, social, and cultural connections are strengthened.

Inclusion Worker:

Inclusion Workers provide social and emotional support and advocacy for children with unique needs that may limit full inclusion in their community. These positions help to facilitate and assist with navigation, advocacy and skill development required for successful participation in their community. The Inclusion Worker functions in partnership with the child’s family, support professionals and caregivers to ensure that family, emotional and cultural connections are strengthened. These positions are flexible and vary to meet the unique needs of the child.
